The guestrooms of *****Hotel Milenij in Opatija were given a complete redesign.

Opatija’s fame as a charming holiday resort dates back to the days of the Habsburg Monarchy as do the roots of the Hotel Milenij.

In 1844 Opatija began to develop as an elite resort. With its location at the Adria and the luxurios environment of the hotels it was well known in that period as the favorite place of European kings and emperors of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy. In 1889, Opatija was officially declared the first resort on the Adriatic Sea – a place with high class flair.
Opatija is also called health Spa at the Camellia coast. References were consciously made to famous personalities from the world of music, literature, sciences (the Vienna Circle) and art (Gustav Mahler, James Joyce, Anton Chekhov, Albert Einstein and the celebrated American dancer Isadora Duncan). The nobility of this era and its refined elegance provided the parameters for a new interpretation of a present day hotel concept combined with a hint of nostalgia.
