The project’s main idea was to create a simple and friendly piece in which both colour and functionality are the elements that allow transforming a group of recycling bins into the reflection of nature in just one object.

Colour represents a universal language, and it can turn any common object into something really beautiful, suggestive and poetic. Thanks to the way we use colours we can transmit certain sensations and values that we wouldn’t be able to obtain with such accuracy in any other way.

The final result is as if we had a snapshot of a natural space contained in a tiny space, the Berna recycling bins in this case.

We strongly believe that our commitment to the environment begins with enjoying our surroundings and feeling part of it. If we understand that the environment provides such wealth and happiness, is difficult that we want to damage or destroy it.

And, inevitably, a concept would be worthless if it doesn’t fulfill perfectly its purpose. This is why we have chosen for the bins the perfect height to comply with ergonomic standards, creating an extremely simple shape without any decoration or superficial element.
