ArchitectureLIVE were appointed to provide a redesign for a new-build family home replacing existing WW2 structures in rolling Surrey countryside.

Our proposal is for the construction of a partially pre-fabricated 2-storey single family home with an attached double garage, outbuildings and an outdoor swimming pool.  The new design seeks to blend in with its natural surroundings through the use of a combination of locally sourced natural materials such as stone and timber cladding. The planned orientation of the dwelling responds sympathetically to it's setting by framing the mature trees and is optimal for the use of renewables. Building integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) and a ground-source heat pump combined with a high performance building super-structure to meet the Code for Sustainable Homes 4/5 complete this re-design.
