In this beautiful pre-war family appartment the kitchen and bathroom were in dire need of refurbishing. The design was supposed to be modern, but in line with the house’s history. Different materials came together and form a homogenous yet exciting style. The rather small bathroom gets a spacious feel from the clear lining, many contrasts and a clever lighting. The custom-designed hanging oak vanity unit has two large drawers and the wide mirrors bring lots of light into the small room. The kitchen is also a melange of materials from stainless steel and linoleum to American walnut wood and Japanese Sentousai stone tiles. The kitchen has the perfect balance between clean modernism and family-friendly cozyness.
