the new footbridge connects the area containing the town’s schools with its sports facilities, which are on opposite sides of the river vispa. the landscaped nature of the place is defined by the presence of two rectilinear walls, more than a kilometre long, next to the roads that run alongside the river. through its design, the footbridge attempts to retain the landscaped aspects of the place, in other words, to avoid breaking the continuity of the landscaping elements which characterise the locality. in order to do this, the footbridge is constructed at the same level as the existing paths, the concrete supports integrate perfectly with the physical nature of the embankments and add to the strength of the structure in the event of flooding. in longitudinal profile, the footbridge has a curved shape, in accord with its use by pedestrians. two filigree beams running between the supports form railings, while the deck stiffens the whole structure.

la nouvelle passerelle piétonne permet de relier le quartier des établissements scolaires aux équipements sportifs de la ville, situés de part et d'autre de la vispa. le caractère paysager du lieu est marqué par la présence de deux murs rectilignes de plus d'un kilomètre le long des routes longeant la rivière. par son implantation, la passerelle tente de conserver les qualités paysagères du lieu, c'est à dire ne pas modifier la continuité des éléments paysagers qui caractérise les lieux. pour ce faire, la passerelle s'implante au niveau des chemins existants, les appuis en béton s'intègrent parfaitement à la matérialité des digues et apportent une réponses à la résistance de l'ouvrage en cas de crue. dans son profil longitudinal, la passerelle propose un profil courbe qui lui confère un caractère piétonnier. entre les appuis, deux poutres filigranes constituent les garde-corps, tandis que le tablier rigidifie le tout.

die neue fussgängerbrücke ermöglicht die verbindung des schul-viertels mit den sportanlagen der stadt, die sich – durch die vispa getrennt – gegenüberstehen. der ländliche charakter des ortes wird durch zwei über ein kilometer lange, geradlinige wände geprägt, die die seitlichen verlaufenden wege abgrenzen. seine positionierung erlaubt es, die ländlichen qualitäten beizubehalten, also nicht die stringenz der landschaftlichen elemente zu verändern, die den ort charakterisieren. um das zu erreichen, wird die fussgängerbrücke auf der höhe der bestehenden wege erbaut, seine auflager aus beton integrieren sich perfekt in die materialität der deiche und bieten dem bauwerk widerstand im fall von hochwasser. im längstprofil verleiht die bogenform der brücke ihren fussgänger-charakter. zwischen den auflagern werden die brüstungen durch die träger gebildet, während die schürzes alles versteift.
