métrailler house, sierre | Savioz Fabrizzi Architecte

This house is located in the vineyard of sierre, up against a cliff. Responding to this mineral environment, the building is meant to be seen as a rock in the middle of the vine stocks, and tries to minimise the impact on the vineyard. The facets of this concrete monolith are facing the main points of view of the site such as the Rhône Valley, the pfyn forest and the annivers valley.

The inner spaces are fitting the land shape. They are structured in half levels connected with a central circulation knot guiding the progression from the entrance to the upper levels. The half level structure allows visual relations between the communal spaces, as well as a large height under ceiling in the living room.

Between two vertical concrete blades, the stairs are leading to the half level slabs, also made of concrete. Apart from those elements, all the inner walls, closets and storage units are made of light grey stained fir wood.

cette maison s’implante dans les vignes sierroises au pied d’une falaise. en réponse au caractère minéral du lieu, la construction s’élève comme un rocher aux milieu des ceps, en minimisant l’impact sur les vignes. 

les facettes de ce monolithe en béton apparent sont orientées selon les points de vue principaux sur la vallée du rhône, le bois de finges et le val d’anniviers.

les espaces intérieurs correspondent à la pente du terrain. ils s’articulent sur des demi-niveaux autour d’un nœud central de circulation qui accompagne le cheminement depuis l’entrée jusqu’au niveau supérieur. la distribution en demi-niveaux permet des relations visuelles entre les espaces communs ainsi qu’une grande hauteur sous plafond dans la pièce à vivre.

entre deux lames de béton verticales, les escaliers desservent les plaques des étages, en béton également.
excepté ces éléments, tous les murs intérieurs et les parois de rangement sont traités avec du sapin lasuré gris clair.

dieses wohnhaus befindet sich in siders, am fussende eines felses und inmitten von weinreben. als antwort auf den mineralischen charakter des ortes erhebt sich der bau wie ein fels inmitten der rebstöcke bei geringer flächenausnutzung im weinberg. die stahlbeton-facetten dieses monoliths sind in die richtungen der wesentlichen ausblicke hin orientiert, das rhonetal, den pfyn-wald und das val d’anniviers.
die innenräume folgen der gelände-neigung. sie werden als halbgeschosse um einen zentralen erschliessungs-kern herum organisiert, der vom eingang bis zu den oberen geschossen führt. die organisation in halbgeschossen ermöglicht blickbeziehungen zwischen den gemeinschaftlichen räumen und enorme grosse raumhöhen im wohnbereich.
zwischen zwei vertikalen beton-scheiben erschliessen – ebenfalls in beton ausgeführte - treppen die geschosse.
abgesehen von diesen elementen werde alle innenwände und schrank-verkleidungen in hellgrau lasierter tanne behandelt.
