Pasadena House | Rachel Allen Architecture
Pasadena / United States / 2009
A 1941 music hall had been converted into a residence in Pasadena, with bedrooms in the previous dressing and coat rooms and a small catering kitchen squeezed onto the former porch.
RAA relocated and enlarged the kitchen to make room for the home's new family and designed a bedroom addition for the couple's twin girls. The design bridges traditional and modern styles, focusing on the clarity and pleasure which can be found common to each.
