The DAMM factory was inaugurated more than 130 years ago in the outskirts of Barcelona. At the moment, the productive facilities are located in the periphery of the city and the ancient building has turned into the corporate head office of the company.
For ten years, we have worked in bringing these spaces back to life, which had remained godforsaken.
Currently, the different rooms where there were executed several parts of the process of production are turning into rooms of polyvalent use, which is gradually turning the building into a new modality of Barcelona's cultural life, as a benchmark.
Our work consists of keeping in balance the convalescent architecture and the architecture of the present, and at the same time adapting a building, thought for machines, to an open space to the public, without forgetting to take care of the details. It’s also a priority to be meticulous to understand which part from history we set in value, bearing in mind that this industrial building has been evolving annually, pushed by the innovative spirit of the company.
In this new century, a new use awards long life to the building. Architecture in pure state to endure with utility over time.

La fábrica DAMM se inauguró hace mas de 130 años en la periferia de Barcelona. Actualmente, las instalaciones productivas se ubican en las afueras de la ciudad y el antiguo edificio se ha convertido en la sede corporativa de la empresa.
Durante diez años hemos trabajado en devolver la vida a estos espacios que se habían quedado abandonados.
Actualmente, las diferentes salas donde se ejecutaban diversas partes del proceso de producción se están convirtiendo en salas de uso polivalente que poco a poco está convirtiendo el edificio en un nuevo referente de la vida cultural barcelonesa.
Nuestro trabajo consiste en mantener el equilibrio entre la arquitectura recuperada y la arquitectura del presente, en adecuar un edificio pensado para maquinas a un espacio abierto al público. A mimar los detalles. A ser meticulosos para entender que parte de la historia ponemos en valor teniendo en cuenta que este edificio industrial ha ido evolucionando anualmente empujado por el espíritu innovador de la empresa.
En este nuevo siglo un nuevo uso le confiere larga vida a l edificio. La arquitectura en estado puro para perdurar con utilidad en el tiempo.
