The house – which is situated in a forest near the dunes and dutch coast – looked very small when they visited it for the first time. So the idea was to enlarge the space. As the sketches proceed, they discovered that the space of this house was perfect for two people. One of the things Jeroen and his team designed is a large kitchen, twice as big as before with more closet space and a big dining table as result. Also the bedroom changed into a bigger room with integrated wardrobe. The bathroom became in square meters smaller, but still has all the comfort including a built-in rain shower, towel radiator and washbasin.

If we look at the details, the material is a combination of contrasts: mat black and white; concrete and wood. To use those opposites, you create an extraordinary contrast. Therefore the house is now more integrated with the forest by the use of large windows. All together it makes the house looks bold and cosy and fits perfect in this location.
