Garage 45 | ZW6 interior architecture

Garage 45 is a former car garage next to the Amstel consisting of three separate buildings together. In collaboration with Jeroen van Zwetselaar and his team, this whole building has been transformed into an industrial space for (private) dinners, meetings and exclusive party venues.

The property features several rooms with individual atmospheres in which Jeroen wanted to show the old elements, instead of hiding them, to accentuate the powerful character of the building. The kitchen has a central position in the middle of the property and is visible by using lots of glass. The building feels ‘alive’ because everything that happens here can be seen and experienced

Raw and charming

Another iconic design according to Jeroen van Zwetselaar is the above bar. This loose object and also lounge sofa serves as an extension of the bar, but also ensures that the large space has been break through. It shows the existing line from the original ceiling and therefore creating a connection to the newly constructed hangar.

The combination of hot and ‘cold’ materials and the clash of existing elements across from the modern industrial gesture, makes Garage45 into an attractive and distinctive building that exudes hospitality and stimulates all the senses.
