The university building in Rostock impresses with large glass fronts which create an open and light atmosphere. This transparency is supported by the filigree staircase railings which are fitted with I-SYS stainless steel cables. A total of 700m of cables with a diameter of 6mm were installed.

Balustrade in-fills are among the most common applications for I-SYS stainless steel cable systems and X-TEND stainless steel mesh systems. These flexible and durable solutions impress with high quality, three-dimensional stability, elegant transparency and floating lightness. All structures are characterized by a low dead weight: they protect people from falling and comply with building regulations.

I-SYS balustrade in-fills opimally can be adapted to the most diverse staircase geometries. For example, they can be used to design and rebuild railings for staircases and even corkscrew stairscorresponding with the latest safety standards.
