EGG CHAIR OF CONCRETE | Solmaz(Fatemeh) Fooladi

The "Egg Chair of Concrete" designed by  architect Solmaz Fooladi draws inspiration from iconic EGG CHAIR by Arne Jacobsen. It is a stunning reinterpretation of the classic designs of the modernist era with a great urban twist. Constructed with concrete, rebar and metal plates the concrete chair’s composition brings to light the unique qualities of industrial materials and repurposes the raw materials to create a beautiful and contemporary chair. Its unique shape is crowned with high rebar collar. Despite the use of unconventional materials, the concrete chair has an incredibly ergonomic and comfortable seat. To reduce the weight we used lightweight concrete mix and to improve the mobility we mount the сhair on casters. The neutral color of the chair also makes this a versatile option for a wide variety of interior styles and projects. It could be also well integrated in any outdoor decor.
