“ARCHITEXTURES” are a collection of projects, whose design methodology seeks to look into the meaning of architecture. Riding through Literature and History of eastern and western cultures “Architextures” recall to our mind that space is a cross reference to men’s relationships forming spatial networks: if those relations could leave traces on a white paper, their graphic aspect would be probably similar to a spider’s web. They could represent a text or, better still, a texture if we think how deep, layered, complicated and interconnected those relations are. It is helpful to think of architectures as architextures, to treat each monument or building viewed in its surrounding and context, in the populated area and associated networks in which it is set down¹. When approaching the design of a new space, we must remember that architecture deals with relationships: spaces - and forms as consequence- are “just” a result at the end of a process of mutual relation between men and environment. ¹See H. Lefebvre writings on Social Space, in “THE PRODUCTION OF SPACE” ch.2 pp. 117-118, Blackwell Publishing. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Le “ARCHITRAME” costituiscono una raccolta di progetti il cui metodo di progettazione cerca di approfondire e recuperare il significato del fare Architettura.
