A different mindset
The doors of the Jules & Jim Hotel open at the end of December 2011 after five years of planning, drafting, paperwork, and 19 months of construction. Located in the heart of Paris, a five minute walk from the George Pompidou Center and ten minutes from the Montorgueil area and City Hall, the Jules & Jim Hotel participates in the revival of the 3rd Arrondissement, initiated by its mayor Mr. Pierre Aidenbaum. The Jules & Jim Hotel has 23 rooms, located in three buildings surrounding two cobblestone courtyards, and a bar which also welcomes non-resident guests… an urban oasis of stone and greenery completely hidden from the street. The founding partners, Antoine Brault and Geoffroy Sciard, both uphold the core value of this project, vowing that each and every guest of the Jules & Jim will feel welcome and pampered. Guillaume Sauger, the young director of the hotel, and his team give life to this spirit. No uniforms: the members of the team will be identified by the crocodile on their Lacoste polo shirts and by their Supra shoes. Guillaume, the night and day receptionists, the housekeepers, the bartender and the breakfast attendants welcome the guests in all simplicity, with a smile and a true desire to serve and satisfy.

The rooms at the Jules & Jim Hotel
An eight storey building and two houses offer 23 custom-built rooms. Some overlook the roofs of Paris, others the interior courtyards of the hotel. Particular attention has been given to sound proofing, light filtering, privacy and the highest quality of bedding. The materials are simple and sustainable: glass, wood, stone, concrete and Hi-MACS ®. The light treatment is original and as soft as candlelight ... Air-conditioning, free Wi-fi, ipod ® docks.

Jules
Two rooms with direct access to the courtyard, easily accessible to people with reduced mobility and one room on the first floor with a street view. From 180 to 220 euros per night depending on the season.

Jim
Two rooms are located at the first and at the second (and top) floor of the new house in the courtyard and two rooms on the first floor of an adjacent apartment building with a view of another courtyard. From 210 to 250 euros per night depending on the season.

HI-MACS©
The 13 Hi-MACS® rooms located in the main eight storey building were designed according to an original and intriguing concept: the wardrobe, toilet, shower and wash basin are arranged in the four corners of the room. The centre of the room is clad with a backlit composite shell (stone and resin) which houses a spacious and comfortable bed. The rooms overlooking the courtyard each have a balcony. From 240 to 280 euros per night depending on the season.

Under the roofs
Two rooms on the eighth and top floor of the main building. The room on the street side offers a gorgeous view of Paris and the Sacré-Coeur. The room on the courtyard side has a magnificent view of the rooftops of the Marais. each has a charming balcony. From 270 to 310 euros per night depending on the season.

Duplex
The duplex occupies the first and second floors of the eighteenth century house which looks over the second courtyard of the hotel. On the bottom level are the WC and a little sitting room complete with work area, Tv and foldout sofa. On the top floor are the bedroom and the bathroom equipped with a beautiful bathtub and a shower. From 390 to 550 euros per night depending on the season.

The Bar...
Subtle combination of back-lit Hi-MACS ®, stainless steel and walnut furniture and of an antique wood floor (reclaimed from demolition), the breakfast room/bar of the Jules & Jim Hotel opens up to a beautiful cobblestone courtyard where in winter a fire crackles in the outdoor fireplace. A library complete with 150 works of literature – in french and in english, comic books and art books – photography is available to the guests. For the entertainment of visitors and guests, we have asked Béatrice Ardisson to design a musical selection which reflects the atmosphere of the hotel. Events such as dj set, live acoustics and other festive happenings will also be organized during business hours. The bar is open from 7 a.m. (for breakfast) until 11 p.m.

The Jules & Jim gallery
The main entrance, located at 11 rue des Gravilliers, instantaneously engulfs visitors in an artistic pathway in the form of a 15 meter photo gallery leading to the front desk. The gallery will serve as an extension of exhibits previously held in the most beautiful photo galleries of Paris. This will give these galleries the opportunity to reach a different type of public and will permit the artists to display their works for a longer period. The gallery will be open to guests of the hotel as well as to other visitors. The artists who, through their sensibility, have played an active role in the development of the project will have their work displayed starting in December in accordance with the Jules & Jim spirit.
