The owner of this nursery school, from which we can see the magnificent Mt. Tsukuba in front, hopes to have life without using facilities such as air conditioning and light, etc. too much to be considerate of the global environment and health of children. For this reason, we suggested an idea of satisfying their request by using the traditional Japanese construction method. The slope on the roof and large eaves prevent a strong sunlight during the day and comfortable wind blows through the nursery school if the window is opened. By setting a window on top of the high ceiling, they can have a sunlight indirectly while the air is ventilated in summer, which makes the school bright enough without light during the day.

In addition, as we planned using positioning of the existing swimming pool and designed positioning of the pond, it is intended that vaporization heat is produced from the water in summer, and the wind that blows through is cooler.

As a result, it is confirmed that the utility expense a year was reduced by 50 percent in comparison with previous year. We believe that people will pay attention not to ecology by using the equipment of saving energy but to the ecology as construction plan more and more.
