Custom furniture design in a Paris apartment Paris / France / 2014
Multifunctional furniture solution that binds different daily activities: cooking relaxing and working, and translates with its morphology materialization new identifiable subspaces within the main space.
By introducing two intersecting volumes along one wall, covering the chimney shafts and integrating the functions we create these new subspaces with a precise identity. The volumes are distinguishable by two wooden materials. One volume in birch plywood starts as a fully equipped kitchen, continues as storage for the living room and ends in a working desk. The other volume made out of white painted MDF is a continuous storage element with an integrated library in form of ‘niches’.
