Villa CIPEA, | Sanaksenaho Architects ltd.

The villa is part of CIPEA, China International Practical Exhibition of Architecture, exhibit. It takes place in Pearl Spring Tourist and Holiday Resort Zone. There is a lake in the middle of the exhibition area. Green hills and springs surround the lake.

The villa is a holiday-residence. It can also serve artists in their short-term stay for art creation, family and small group tour, meetings, seminars and short-term work.

The role of the building is to emphasize existing natural surroundings. The villa is reflected from the surface of the water.

Most public functions are situated on the entrance level. The conference room can be connected to the dining hall by opening a sliding wall. Living room opens to the lagoon with the window wall. Bedrooms are situated one floor down from the entrance level. The suite can be also an atelier for visiting artists.Two-storey suite/atelier is situated on the lowest level. The outdoor living is happening on a roof terrace.

The villa is boarded with green patinated copper. Inside surfaces are local cherry wood. Local natural stone covers the elevator tower, the fireplace and the roof terrace.

The aim of the villa is to create harmonious living in the nature. The villa might be seen also as a boat left to the shoreline or as a Chinese lantern reflected to the surface of the lake.

La Villa è stata progettata per CIPEA, mostra realizzata dalla China International Practical Exhibition of Architecture, nel Pearl Spring Tourist and Holiday Resort Zone. L’edificio, situato su una piccola penisola circondata dall’acqua e dalla foresta, è stato pensato per brevi periodi di soggiorno sia per artisti in cerca di ispirazione, per turisti e per seminari di studio o incontri di lavoro.

L’ingresso alla villa avviene attraverso un ponte lungo e stretto che conduce direttamente a una grande hall attorno alla quale ruotano tutti gli ambienti comuni.

La sala conferenze è connessa alla sala da pranzo mentre il soggiorno si apre sulla laguna con un’ampia parete vetrata, enfatizzando così il rapporto con la natura.

La zona residenziale, situata a un livello inferiore rispetto a quello d’ingresso, è costituita da otto stanze da letto che si affacciano sul lago con una balconata. Una delle stanze, una suite a doppia altezza situata a un livello più basso e con un ingresso indipendente, può essere utilizzata anche come atelier temporaneo per artisti. La suite-atelier si apre quindi sulla laguna con un’ampia parete vetrata mentre il soggiorno si trova sulla copertura a terrazza.
Per gli esterni dell’edificio sono stati utilizzate lastre di rame patinato mentre per gli interni differenti tipologie di legno locale. Pietra locale naturale è stata impiegata per il rivestimento della torre dell’ascensore, del camino e del tetto a terrazza.
