Extension to an existing building in Monagroulli | Yolanda Papanicolaou
Monagroulli / Cyprus / 2015
The project site was partially taken up by a traditionally-built mud-brick house, surrounded at the perimeter by existing buildings on the north, east and west, and flanked by a perimeter wall on the south-oriented street façade. The solution proposes an addition directed to both maximizing the area taken up by the new-built volumes as well as freeing up as much of the courtyard space as possible.
