Gran Canaria Arena | Vicoustic by Exhibo

Have you heard of the Gran Canaria Arena? It's a pavilion that is located in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and offers a capacity for nearly 10.000 spectators. 

The task to find the best solution for the acoustics of this venue was given to Vicoustic’s distributor, Hipermusic Canarias! This was a huge challenge, but of course Vicoustic have made this a success!

The demanding sound requirements of this Multi Purpose Arena justified a detailed analysis of the acoustic properties, in order to guarantee an accurate and effective sound treatment. The ceiling was one of the most important aspects to take into consideration when we developed the acoustic treatment. It occupies the largest area of the space and is practically the only area where we can intervene.

The panels used for the ceiling were the Suspended Baffle Tech 40, a product that reduces the reflections and reverberation from the ceiling and other surfaces. The square shaped geometry of the panels in the ceiling aims to decrease the reverberation time along the two major axis of the area. The combination of the melamine resin foam and the veil cover gives the Suspended Baffle Tech 40 a fire rating Euro Class B.
