Ratattouile | Zisis Papamichos

Ratatouille is a traditional French Provencal stewed vegetable dish originating in Nice. It is also a cartoon movie, with the story based on this famous French dish, with the main characters trying to cook this difficult dish that has memories from their childhood.

Based on these information, Ratatouille is an open kitchen Restaurant located in Kifisia Athens. The concept was to create a thematic restaurant who would looked like a big house and costumers feeling like they were invited as quests for dinner.

The design is a simply country style house with a small yard in the front. The building is a small old house with a wooden roof and an open kitchen. The preparation and the cooking is made in front of the costumers. The decoration is very simple and elegant with country style materials such as wood and ceramic tiles. The wooden roof is visible and the chairs and the tables are handmade. The walls in the kitchen side are covered with 3 colored ceramic tiled and the same are used in the floor around the main preparation table.

In the front part of the restaurant is a small covered wooden shelter with traditional stone floor. The yard is covered with grass around the 4 big existing trees according to the country style of the restaurant.
