This terrace is located in Rho, on the last floor of a palace overlooking several residential complexes which are neglected and only dominated by the grey of the cement.
In order to contrast this distressing view, Sandrini designed and realized not only a shielding for the outside but also a real green oasis inside it.
The main work was the realization of a hanging garden with the help of Optigrun technology, that is, creating topsoil underlayers in a way that the green could be enjoyed even in a very small space.
Perimeter small walls were built for retaining the earth where medium/tall essences could be planted. On the perimeter of the terrace, in fact, there are traditional Hedge Shrubs with blossomed cushions with colorful flowers.
The scenographic element of this hanging garden was obtained through the realization of a water effect made of stainless steel, framed by evergreen essences and big terracotta vases.
The central part of the garden, instead, was left as lawn on purpose in order to make the whole area appear broad and deep and right for these works it is like a real open-air “room”.
