Garda Lake. Private Garden in Padenghe | Sandrini Green Architecture

In Padenghe at Garda Lake, a “pied dans l’eau” villa built in the 60s has undergone a great renovation work.
The owner’s love for all what concerns the sea and the boats were the file rouge: the house, both inside and outside, was imagined as if it were a ship with pavement made of spaced teak India rubber, steel porthole and railing made of steel cables.
This very same marine pattern is also used for the outside area of this house. Sandrini aimed at enhancing the existing Maritime Pines and creating a water mirror that made it seem even more similar to the idea of ship, which was so much loved by the purchaser.
Sandrini designed and constructed a really peculiar swimming pool: wind roses set in the white pavement and a barrier of steel cables that surrounds it and that made it seem a real boat.
Moreover, the contrast with the lawn and the large Mediterranean scrubs made up of Oleanders, Lavanders, Agapanthus, Phormium, Cordyline and Cypresses contribute to emphasize this evocative summer and marine sensation.
