The Rehabilitation Project of the apartment is located in Lisbon, at Pascoal de Melo street, part of a mid-twentieth century building, in reasonable condition.

The initial apartment considered three bedrooms, a kitchen with a large issue concerning lighting and enclosed angles, a room that resembled in terms of areas / appearance a room and two entries that define the history of the apartment (distinct areas for employees).

The intervention aimed to meet the programmatic requirements requested by the client and create the feeling of largest space extent in the housing areas.

Our goal was to be able to feel the spaces always differently, in the way of use (cooking, sleeping, relax) and their interaction. The entire apartment has been designed taking into account the varied sensory appreciation. A set of points of view and volumes were establish of the same space reinforced by the chosen materials. The floor was entirely replaced as well as the windows.

We started setting up a main entrance that opens to the most public space of the apartment, the living room. Marked with illuminated beams by Led, we are guided from the entrance to the most private area of ​​the apartment, the rooms.

For the living room were united two bedrooms and established two different ceiling heights that define the dining room and the eating room joined by a staircase that differentiate spaces, applying the previously mentioned game of views and experiences.

On the kitchen, the project seeks natural lighting, replacing the existing furniture, for higher span, brighter and higher furniture and light-colored finishes that are great reflectors. In addition, the functional kitchen organization was rethought in order to concentrate tall furniture at the entrance, freeing the area by the window to allow more light involvement. Three separate areas have been established, the cooking set with two countertops drawn from the wall to the floor, the laundry closed resembling the high furnishings kitchen and the dining area by the window, more sheltered.

The suite combined three spaces: the access defines a dressing area wide, with high slender wardrobes, followed by a glass bathroom where a washbasin column rises gleaming the entire room and the sleeping area, where the understanding of space once again searches a different point of view and is implicit the concept of voyeur.

O Projeto de Reabilitação do apartamento sito na rua Pascoal de Melo, em Lisboa, insere-se num edifício de construção de meados do século XX e encontrava-se em razoável estado de conservação.

O apartamento inicial contemplava três quartos, uma cozinha com um grande problema de iluminação e cercada de ângulos, uma sala que se assemelhava a um quarto a nível de áreas/arquitetura e duas entradas que demarcam a história do apartamento.

A intervenção teve como objetivo dar resposta aos requisitos programáticos solicitados pelo cliente e criar a sensação de maior amplitude espacial nos espaços da habitação.

O nosso objetivo era poder sentir os espaços sempre de forma diferente, na forma de uso (cozinhar, dormir, relaxar) e na sua interação. Todo o apartamento foi desenhado tendo em consideração a apreciação sensorial variada, num jogo de volumes e pontos vista do mesmo espaço, reforçado pelos materiais escolhidos, sendo o pavimento integralmente substituído, bem como os vãos.

Definiu-se uma entrada principal que se abre para o espaço mais público da habitação, a sala. Marcada com vigotas iluminadas em Led somos guiados da entrada à zona mais privada do apartamento.

Para a sala foram unidos dois quartos e estabelecidos dois pés-direitos diferenciados que definem a sala de refeições e sala de estar unidas por umas escadas que diferenciam os espaços, aplicando o jogo referido anteriormente de pontos de vista e vivências.

Na cozinha, o projeto procura tirar o máximo partido da iluminação natural, através da substituição do mobiliário, dos vãos altos sem bandeiras e dos revestimentos existentes por materiais de cor clara que refletem a luz. Em complemento, a organização funcional da cozinha foi repensada, de forma a concentrar na entrada os móveis altos, libertando a área junto à janela para permitir maior entrada de luz. Foram definidas 3 áreas distintas, a de cozinhar com 2 bancadas definidas que se desenham da parede ao pavimento, a lavandaria encerrada assemelhando-se aos móveis altos da cozinha e a zona de refeições junto da janela, mais abrigado.

A suíte principal é desenhada em três espaços, o de acesso define uma área de vestir ampla, com roupeiros altos e esguios, seguindo-se a área de instalação sanitária em vidro, onde um lavatório em coluna se ergue vislumbrando todo o quarto e a área de dormir, havendo um conceito de voyeur implícito em todo o espaço.
