Stefano Boeri Architetti has won the competition for the realization of a residential tower in Chavannes-Près-Renens, Lausanne, Switzerland. With the collaboration of Agronomist and Landscape Architect: Studio LAURA GATTI and BuroHappold Engineering.
The project, which has passed the other finalists proposals (Mario Botta Architetto; Richter Dahl Rocha & Associés Architectes; Goettsch Partners), is about the construction of a 117 mts tall tower, which will host more than 100 trees and it will be covered by shrubs and plants over an area of 3000 square meters.
The works for the realization of "La Tour des Cedres", this is the name of the second vertical forest, should start in 2017.
