Sonos Studio London is a social, collaborative space that connects artists and audiences through experiences in music, art and technology.

Following the launch of Sonos Studio in Los Angeles, Sonos Studio London arrives in Shoreditch in September 2015. The two-storey warehouse will boast a concert space, listening rooms, work stations and a café as well as an ever-evolving creative programme of events and exhibitions.

Sonos Studio focuses a lens on music, art and technology, as shaped by the culture defining the UK capital, and epitomises a commitment to the community of creators and music makers that inspire Sonos. It provides an ignition point, connecting artists and ideas to audiences through experiences that stir the senses, fire the imagination and celebrate the shared pleasure of listening.

The programme at Sonos Studio will link physical and digital, local and global, and provide artists and creators with a proving ground for prototyping innovative experiences in music, art and technology.

Sonos’ aim is to empower artists to push the boundaries of music, art and technology, express and share their vision, and inspire new collaborations and creations that further the modern music experience.

Sonos Studio London’s architecture and interior design is created by Brinkworth.

Sonos Studio London has commissioned eight artists to create new work inspired by sound and technology, to feature in the East London space. The basis of this art collection will include permanent pieces and a series of revolving multi-disciplinary artworks. The first cohort of artists includes Ewen Spencer, Sam Coldy, Manuel Sepulveda and Jack Featherstone, working across video, sound, sculpture and graphics. Playlists specially created by each artist will accompany the works.
