Conai and the National Consortia for the recycle of the packaging present Recycling Tube, an interactive video installation that shows the route taken by packaging waste, including that generated at Expo Milano 2015, from separate collection bins to the recycling plants of six consortia, to be completely transformed, or re-produced, into new products.
The installation, the profile of which recreates a city skyline, was designed by Principioattivo fot PIANO B Agency, and is located on the Expo Milano premises, near the Chinese and Colombian pavilions. It consists of a 12m interactive tunnel split into six sections, each lined with different packaging materials. Inside, visitors may consult the 10 commandments of separate waste collection – 10 rules to separate, and therefore recycle, packaging waste at best – and the up-to-date findings of the environmental meter that keeps tabs on the recycling of waste at Milano Expo 2015.
