Move on is a new concept of meeting place, joining together good music, best beers and nice italian food. The target was to create a place where people can feel like home, seating in soft armchairs, listening music playing in personal turntables, looking through windows the amazing show of the Duomo and the Babtistery of Florenzce, and also get relax drinking local beers and eating special italian dishes, coming from the food tradition of this country. All this away from the fast timetables of tourism, the new bothering bite-and-run-away tendence. A great challange experience.

The project starts from the reinterpretation of an existing bar restaurant minimal style designed in the 80's, considered 20 years later too much cold and anonymus inside. The request of the client was to create something warm and cozy, a place where you can feel at home. Another basic request was to better connect the ground floor to the first floor of the store, that was only served by a slow elevator hided in the back side, near the existing kitchen of the restaurant. The last request was to use only local or traditional materials for better contestualize the new store in Florence mood.

First of all, a stair between the two levels has been builded instead of an existing service stair, creating a more comfortable path. This part of the interior design is dedicated to the 70's, with psychedelic orange wallpapers and spot lighting that creates a warm room, with big black porcelain suspended chandeliers that emphasize the vertical effect of ascension to the first floor. Stair is supplied by tempered glass balustrade. The main room on the ground floor is furnished with a big and massive counter for drink and food service, made of black oak wood conbined with brass and leather details. Tables and benches surrounding the main counter are made of natural finish wood and dark leather. All walls of the ground floor are furnished with wooden boiseries. The boiseries includes glass windows for on sale products display, like special vinyls, beer mugs, and other merchadising items. The flooring is made of local cotto tiles, specially produced in black and white finish for this project.

The first floor is exclusively dedicated to vinyls and books sale. The whole ceiling is covered with mirroring panels gray, silver and gold colored, in order to create reflections visible from the outside of the square and vice versa. Furnitures are custom designed for vinyl display. Flooring is made of dark oak parquet, led spot lights illuminate products and common spaces. Seatings and coffee tables are original vintage furnitures from the 50's, 60's and 70's selected to complete the interiors. The main counter was designed in details to feature LP sales and DJ set for parties and events.
