[ENG] - This project located in the Eixample district in Barcelona, was to reform a 170m2 apartment with 6 bedrooms and with no real character common in most Eixample apartments. In terms of style and choice of materials, we were inspired by a remarked 50s style with fine materials and very straight lines. All the flooring and windows where made especially in walnut wood which create a perfect contrast with the white walls. White lacquered MDF taylor made doors to go all the way up to the ceiling to give them even more height.  Indirect light in the corridors tailored with plasterboard. We retained the vaulted ceiling of the lounge area, which was the only remaining original character left in the apartment and painted it white. We did the kitchen furniture in white melamine, white marble top and included slate pavement tiles in the cooking area to contrast with the wood throughout the house and follow the line of noble materials. We create a new distribution to be able to create a suite with bathroom access from the room and used cement for the floors and grey and white tiles of different sizes in the children’s bathroom.

[ES] - Este proyecto ubicado en l’Eixample de Barcelona, ha consistido en reformar un piso de 170m2 con 6 habitaciones y sin ningún carácter auténtico de l’Eixample. En cuanto al estilo y la elección de materiales, nos inspiramos en un marcado estilo años 50 con materiales nobles y líneas muy rectas. Todo el pavimento y las ventanas hechas a medida con madera de nogal que contrasta perfecto con el blanco de las paredes. Puertas en Dm lacado blanco fabricadas a medida hasta el techo para darles aún mas altura. Luz indirecta en los pasillos hecha a medida con pladur. Conservamos el techo abovedado de la zona del salón que era el único carácter antiguo que quedaba en el piso y lo pintamos de blanco. Hicimos el mobiliario de cocina a medida en melanina blanca, encimera de mármol blanco macael y pusimos pavimento de pizarra en la zona de cocinar para contrastarlo con la madera de toda la vivienda y seguir con la línea de materiales nobles. Conseguimos hacerles una suite con baño dentro de la habitación de microcemento gris y utilizamos gresite gris y blanco de diferentes tamaños en el baño de los niños.
