The existing volume could not be changed, therefore we adapted the guest house program to it.

First of all we upgraded the roof with up-to-date insulation and waterproofing, later on we did the same with the facades and the interior space.
The idea was to open the inside space to outside, so the users were able to enjoy the large garden with views. The roof was extended to cover the terrace with a new wicker and iron structure pergola, so we the terrace space increased allowing visitors will be closer with the garden, the nature and the orchard.

The interior space was understood almost as a single and continuous space where the living room, kitchen and small dining area, formed the main space connected to the bedroom and bathroom.

In the bedroom we designed a continuous furniture using the same flooring wood, we created a base cabinet that became the head the bed head, and encompassed the window perimeter. It could be used as a bench where to enjoy the framed views.

The kitchen furniture, the fireplace furniture and cabinets maintained the same modulation, and they helped us to distribute the ordered space.

El volumen existente no se podía modificar, y a partir de ahí adaptamos el programa para la casa de invitados.
Primero se rehabilitó la construcción dotándola de una cubierta con aislamiento e impermeabilización actuales, y posteriormente se hizo lo mismo con las fachadas y el espacio interior. La idea es que el pequeño espacio interior se abriera hacia el exterior para poder disfrutarlo donde disponía de un gran jardín con vistas. La cubierta se prolonga con una nueva pérgola de mimbre con estructura de hierro, de forma que nos permite alargar la terraza. Así los visitantes podrán estar más en contacto con el jardín, la naturaleza y el huerto.
El espacio interior se entiende prácticamente como un solo espacio, donde la sala, cocina y pequeño comedor, forman el espacio principal y queda comunicado con el dormitorio y el baño.
En el dormitorio diseñamos un mueble de la misma madera del pavimento que formaba un armario bajo, el cabezal de la cama, y englobaba el perímetro de la ventana, de forma que se pueda utilizar como banco, donde disfrutar de las vistas enmarcadas.
Los muebles de cocina, los muebles de la chimenea y los armarios, que mantienen una misma modulación, se distribuyen de forma ordenada el espacio.
