City of Sonoma Bell Tower Retrofit | STRATAap

In recent years STRATA a|p has been working closely with the City of Sonoma to repair, maintain and restore the early 20th century historic City Hall building. 

Most recently the building’s bell tower underwent a seismic retrofit and restoration. After investigation, analysis and the delivery of reports it was determined that the bell tower needed seismic reinforcement. This included the structural reinforcement of the bell tower walls, ceiling and platform. Due to the decay over time repair was also required at the parapet walls where clay roof tiles needed replacement and grout was repaired and/or sealed. To make future repair easier the existing roof access hatch was removed and placed in a new location with a ladder and extension pole.
