Aerial is based on two geometrical and structural elements. These two blocs merge into each other thanks to a squeezing, an extending, a declining and a cutting phase. By those principles, these two elements become one chair, constitued by one stool surrounded by the other part : a backrest and an armrest appear and provide a support, a protection and security for the body.
The third and most important element is the spheric seat. The light transparent air cushion can support the body weight and gives an image that people sit on something aerial. It is also a way to give more confort to this chair, the flexibility of the material (PVC) allows to give an other dimension to the seat part and make a contrast with the straight wooden lines. Finally, this chair is foldable : the seat and the backrest part are joined by a metal piece, it allows a rotation and make this object easy to take and store.
