Spatial solution for minimal living spaces
Millipede is a layout solution of minimal space (9 sqm) consisting of three main elements. This intended furniture for student rooms, not including kitchen or sanitary (they are considered as common areas), is composed of : a bed that can be divided into seats (two benches), a table that can be used as a desk, and a foldable clothes rack. Two drawer boxes are stored under the bed and can also be used as seats; a third box can be used as a bedside table. All the elements are movable and allow an easy recomposition of space according to a temporality : the idea is to allow a flexibility in spatial layout while saving space.
The material used for the table, the clothes rack and the bed structure is wood (ash) and the upholstery is made of high resilient foam covered by a polyamid and elastic textile and a layer of polyester wadding.
