MEP BIM Coordination Project | Prex Poojara

The project which we have completed is the company who is well known Onsite Construction Company based in London, UK. The Objective of this project is to develop architectural, structural, mechanical and plumbing model along with MEP installation drawings after the coordinated process of all disciplines. The client needed to complete the entire 9-floor building with an area of 7, 00,000 sqft.

We are responsible for creating Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing, Revit model which the client can use in the construction of a residential building. This was a challenging project and total estimated hours for the project was 6000 man hours with a delivery schedule was 300 working days. MEP model was developed from scratch based on the inputs given by the client. Our team of 4 to 5 MEP modelers, developed information and detail rich MEP model, performed contribution between MEP services and developed a complete set of MEP Installation drawings.

The biggest challenges which we have faced during the completion of the project was time. The project deadline was preponed while on the project midway. We had to complete the project in 180 working days in spite of quoting for 300 working days.  We had to increase the team size and manage the resources to work by putting the additional hours. There were some major design changes that happened during the project to avoid clashes while coordination. The design modification suggestions were provided by Tesla. In spite of all the changes, we were successful in completing the project earlier than scheduled. We were instrumental in providing design suggestions and assisted in modifying the design to great extent.

Now, MEP Modeling, Coordination and detailed installation drawings were completed within 180 working days. As an outcome of exceptional quality deliverables within a short term delivery time and excellent quality of MEP model.
