NOIR hairdressers opened in the very heart of Moscow, next to the Mayakovskaya Metro station, in December 2014. It nestles in a small semi-basement of a residential house built for conservatoire staff in the mid-1930s. Total area is 55 sq.m. The place has just two small spaces for clients: one is the waiting hall and the other - the workroom. The colour gamut of the interior is discreet: the podium with chairs along the mirror wall is pristine white, the floor and walls on the sides of the podium deep black, the ceiling just naked concrete and the wall across from the mirror dusty blue. Design is industrial and stress its affinity with the aesthetics of the Bohemian Berlin: concrete, stone tiles, graphite paint, metal components and light fixtures.
