Kazakhstan Hotel | Ricardo Bofill Taller de Arquitectura
Almaty / Kazakhstan / 2013
The Kazakhstan Hotel, an architectural, historical landmark in Almaty, has been since the 70’s a reference for travelers, tourists, and businessmen.
The project’s challenge entails the creation of a new destination hotel and the transformation of the building into a modern facility to project its image, as part of the city’s collective memory, into the future.

This will be achieved by establishing priorities within the building’s transformation, and creating a series of functions which adapt to meet current needs of modern business travelers and tourists.
