Poland Pavilion
Milan / Italy / 2015
The ability to think differently, to use material in order to innovate and to shake off the limits imposed by tried and tested practices: these are the hallmarks of the Italian LAMINAM, market leader in the manufacture of large-sized, ultra-thin ceramic slabs for architecture, interiors and design, who could not miss the appointment withExpo Milano 2015 and its spotlights on the world of tomorrow.
The suggestive project for the Poland Pavilion, created by the Polish architect Piotr Musialowski from 2PM in collaboration with the design engineers of WXCA, who selected the covering materials, focuses on a stark material contrast between the exterior and the interior. 880 square metres of ceramic walls tiled using LAMINAM Collection series in the Nero Intenso colour will accompany the visitor along a spectacular journey through the country’s natural resources.
The central feature in this sensory experience is the Magic Garden, a symbolic orchard perfect for relaxing in, a seemingly endless space associated with Polish agriculture.
