The will behind the project is to export the Italian style not only from a morphological point of view but especially from a cultural one. The focal point are not therefore the building types, but the very concept of spatial planning applied to urban spaces and volumetric ratios. It was decided to superimpose on assigned lots a planimetric portion of Naples, greatly simplified approach by the similarity between the new viability of the invitation and a piece of the city, between via Monteoliveto- corso Umberto I and the waterfront. We proceeded to locate the site of the new areas of artifacts tracing the Napolitan scheme. To reduce the density some parts and some buildings have become the design of green spaces within the new neighborhoods. In this way we managed to preserve the relationship between empty and full spaces simplifying the built. The lots are built to have drive accesses from the main roads and the secondary both, leaving ample space to pedestrianisation. On this design we wanted to superimpose a rational scheme as memory of European culture of cities and the rational relationship with urban form of the new masterplan of Shanghai; such signs have been reported as paths in green spaces. The will to confirm the Italian concept of outdoor life, in harmony with ecological and bioenergetic trends has suggested us to imagine all the roofs of buildings as green spaces.  The outcame is a wide green area by the River that opens towards the city, preferring pedestrian and cycle paths. The building types are varied and range from the tower to the Court building, but always preserving, to street level, commercial spaces. We chosen not to focus these activities in individual lots, but to distribute them evenly to make the usability of the new district continued all day long. On the front side of the river we proceeded as in the rest of the area, to identify areas of overlap with the map of Naples and identifying by  the floor space of binary beam on the port of Naples, the new tourist Harbour provided by “Shanghai” master plan. For the buildings we imagined to keep a strong reference to Neapolitan types, in a dual relationship that goes from the sign of the city to the specific functions. The tower to be carried out as a prescription in the N8 area also retains the old building palnt in its planimetric shape, but with the rise it takes a particular sign. From the first to second floor we’ll find a large shopping area, this time concentrated and localized, that makes possible, with limited height, to highlight the volume of the tower. The tower rises and tilts, deforms narrowing and then open upwards. The shape derives from the need to create an architectural element of visibility, strengthen its presence in the urban system and evocating what in the era of globalization is a bulwark of the Italian taste, coffee. The reference so it's to one of  the more personal instrument of every Italian, the Moka, expression of an italian|napolitan design. The tower’s name easily suggests this link, we have chosen to call the tower MOKACENTER highlighting the form of building that invokes a k.

The building consists of two separate volumes that rise for seven levels on independent way creating a kind of great hall, with a strong formal appeal to the italian courts. In the lobby there are small commercial spaces and the entrance to the offices. The stairs are unique for both the buildng’s parts and can be found in the north part, which from the third level atrium will be crossed by bridges linking the two parts. From the eighth level these volumes come together giving life to the plans in which we placed offices. Climbing the plan becomes wider but not changing the functional  system. We choose to locate a single Office on each floor, with rooms for the leadership on one side and openspace for workstations on the other side. The tower on his façade towards the River has  a Green skin that goes up to the roof garden from the ground floor. This Green “skin” hides terraces protected by the brise soleil that are accessible from each floor offices. From an energy and environmental sustainability standpoint, the whole building will be wrapped by photovoltaic glass elements, it will be served by a system of rainwater collection and it will bring down the levels of NOX EMISSIONS due to the combination of bionictile gress and vertical green. The outcame of this combination can even produce a significant enrgy increase. This system has been planned throughout the pedestrian area of the neighborhood and will allow the complete Energy sustenibility of itself.
