The loft conversion of the Wilhelminian era house was overseen by Bernd Gruber from the property search through to completion. Firstly, the central and yet very tranquil oasis at Schottentor was divided into two flats.

The interior design concept is in line with Classic Modernism and follows a solid materiality that gains character and quality with time and use. In the loft living area, the walls themselves come to the fore as a design element and define the evolution from the wall surface to the wall body. Large window apertures between the kitchen and the living room create a volume, whose architectural impact is interspersed by individual items of Viennese art scene furniture from the Art Nouveau period.
