MULTIFUNCTIONAL BUILDING | CONTINI ARCHITETTURA
San Michele Tiorre / Italy / 2014
This work, done in the the first slopes of the Apennines, emphasizes the idea of the facing towards the great Po Valley, where a very simple volume dematerialises towards the plain. The building has many functions: garage, playground, residence, carpentry workshop, and it is very interesting in terms of energy since it produces energy for all the existing residential complexes and for residential complexes in construction and in the basement it collects rainwater for the irrigation of a large area in the garden. The underground structure is in reinforced concrete and the bearing walls and the roof are realized with panels of xlam. The perimeter walls were coated in reconstructed stones. In covering , the use of photovoltaic panels guarantees an output of 50kW.
