Whittier Ave | ADS (Architectural Design Studio)

LaserShip was an existing client from a project we designed for one of their warehouses. LaserShip had purchased a commercial property in which to expand their headquarters office. This project was exceptionally difficult due to pre-existing conditions. The property was in a transitional zone which require significant site engineering even though the project scope was just for exterior cosmetics and interior renovation. ADS went through a lengthy approval process with the local county to obtain approval for the project. The design was to transform an existing residence into a commercial office. Due to the location it was designed to transition the commercial and residential areas. The use of residential and commercial style materials and languages allowed the building to fit within both contexts.
