Labrador House | Vanguarda Arquitectos
Project, Construction Management and Construction Tigre / Argentina / 2014
Location: San Isidro Labrador neighborhood, Tigre, Buenos Aires.
Total Area: 340 m2
This weekend home is located in the San Isidro Labrador neighborhood of the city of Tigre, placed in a large lot bordering a lake.
The main challenge was to respond to the owners’ requests, asking for noble, easy-to- maintain materials. Thus, the sight concrete is presented in its natural state, with cement floors and the enclosing wall made of full white textured acrylic plaster.
Glass has a major role in this house’s image, with large windows towards the rear area, where the pool and the lake are located, closing to the front with a concrete wall that offers privacy. The aluminum-colored woodwork offers further lightness to the general appearance.
The main layout of the ground floor includes a private study and a large social area that integrates the kitchen-dining-room-living-room, completely opening and continuing towards the gallery that extends along the rear side of the house.
The rest of the ground floor is made up of the service area that includes: toilet, laundry, larder and service room.
The upper floor includes three bedrooms and the en-suite master bedroom, from which a large terrace overlooking the pool may be accessed.
