The project proposes to build a new school which will substitute the current school, which is located inside a market and has serious health and civil protection deficiencies. The architectonic proposal wants to break away from the type of schools that have been built by governments for the past years, and to make a leap forward in quality up to the point to aim to attain the Leed Platinum Certification.

The building is arranged through a central corridor which gathers all classrooms at one side and the lunch area and kitchen at the other side, all of them with natural lighting and ventilation.

Each room has a small yard that allows natural ventilation through the building, besides, the school has two main courtyards and a traffic bearing roof as an extension of one of them.

An area to outsiders, where the maintenance of water, gas and electricity facilities are placed, as well as the food intake and waste output occurs, is independent from all school areas which prevents anyone, besides the staff of the school, to come into physical or visual contact with the students.
