This tiny square is barely functioning today as an active public space where people can socialize and events can happen. There are many reasons, the main ones being: too small; little shade; extremelly noisy and polluted because of the hundreds of buses that pass by it every hour. On the other hand, it has the potential to be a fabulous lively square: great location, just minutes by foot to most of the best attractions of Tel Aviv; Thousands of people cross through per hour becaus...e 6 busy roads lead to it; some of Tel Avivs best architecture is surrounding the square or in the immediate surroundings. I redesigned it, increased the size by five times, created plenty areas of shade, and transformed historical buildings around the square to all become included inside and function as public space - both on the ground level and upper level. The copyrights to this project belong to the Bezalel Academy of Arts where I am currently doing my Masters in Urban Design within the Department of Architecture
