Architect Andreas Etzelstorfer has created what initially seems to be an unobtrusive structure of natural stone, echoing the form & texture of its mountain slopes backdrop. Yet on entering the house, you are already on the 3rd floor and are presented with this canyon like effect with magnificent views of Attersee lake and the surrounding mountain range. Designed as a second home for the client, the facade mirrors this concept by having two faces. When the family are present, the lake facing facade is open. But when the house is not in use, the facade closes, creating a monolith sculpture of natural stone.
