Micillo Office

This striking new office is an all-in-one solution for Micillo, answering their need to bring staff and teams from what once were the old office into a single brand-expressive space in Hong Kong.

Micillo needs:
Consolidate approximately 4 staff into one space.
Workspaces to encourage collaborative working style.
Express Micillo brand identity.
Micillo also needed a venue for showcasing products, holding operational sales meetings.
Create convivial space for staff.

Solutions:
Micillo brand and the industrial atmosphere of the location was a conceptual starting point for us. An a leading company in the field of fashion accessories, a industrial space, but well located, formed the conditions framework, stimulants, towards achievement of the project.
We wanted a design concept that conveyed that sense of fashion and creativity.

A defining characteristic: the floor
The graphic marks on the floor denoting the sqm and functions, like a technical plan.
The graphic text serves as a visual reminder to an architectural plan on paper.

The workspace: Clear sightlines & natural light
In the open-plan workspace, the arrangement enables areas to be demarcated without the use of walls, partitions, or anything that might block the path of sunlight in and sightlines out.
The use of the glass partitions give way to a much desired permeability of the space, while alongside the main entrance space, a continuous wall of fabrics allows for a playful and flexible configuration to show the brand's product. Flexible becouse they can create different expressions during different events or in different seasons.

The Result:
The result was a successful Space – faithful to the brand guidelines, but also offering something powerfully new in its interpretation.
