This project was a complete refurbishment of the old apartment, including the integration of spaces, structural reinforcement and rennovation of all the finishes. To these ends, we put in a new marble floor throughout the entire apartment giving the impression of one space flowing into the next.
The idea was to create integrated, comfortable and modern spaces for our client to receive friends and family who come from France.
The apartment boasts a spectacular view of Copacabana Beach which was our main inspiration when designing the project. To make the most of this, we demolished walls, enlarged the windows where possible, and included mirrors to give surprise new angles of the beach.
The lighting design took advantage of the apartment's concrete structural supports and, using a plaster ceiling, we created an indirect light along all of the concrete beams.
