site
the extension to the school complex is on the west side of the site, in continuity with the existing school which runs along the rue de la treille. it is joined to the existing buildings, with which it forms a single functional unit.
the extension provides an opportunity to improve the relationship between the school complex and the public space in the street (currently a blank wall of the emergency shelter.

typology
the new school is organised as two spatial and pedagogical units, a familiar space, whose scale is between that of the classroom and the school.
these units comprise two classrooms, and a multipurpose area that is the core of each unit.
the classrooms are designed as spaces with openings on all four sides, offering multiple relationships with the environment: the sunshine of the south side and the view over the grass roof, the view of the hill to the north, distant views along the valley and a relationship with the multipurpose area.

construction
the choice of materials for the project is inspired by the existing school complex. the base is of exposed concrete and the superstructure is covered with slate, like the roofs of the complex.
the two storeys of classrooms are built using a wooden frame to allow earthquake-resistant construction over the public emergency shelter without altering the structure of the latter. this type of construction makes it possible to use prefabricated components, which are rapidly assembled, reducing the inconvenience when the school complex is in use.
the classrooms have wood on the internal walls, with floors and ceilings finished in mineral materials. cement screed is used for the floor (for sound insulation and thermal mass) while the ceiling consists of perforated cement-based panels to absorb sound.

die erweiterung des schulentrums wurde auf dem westlichen teil der parzelle vorgeschalgen, in der verlängerung der bestehenden schule, entéang der rue de la treille. sie schmiegt sich dem bestand an, um damit ein funktionelle einheit zu bilden. 

wir nutzen diese erweiterung um die beziehung zwischen dem schulzentrum und dem öffenltichen strassenraum zu verbessern (derzeit eine dunkle seite des zivilschutzraums)

typologie
das neue schulgebäude besteht aus zwei räumlichen und pädagogischen einheiten, in einem vertrauten masstab zwischen einer klasse und der schule.
diese einheiten bestehen aus jeweils zwei klassen und einem mehrzweckraum, der sich als mittelpiunkt versteht.
der mehrzweckraum kann auf unterschiedliche arten genutzt werden: als gruppenraum, als erweiterung des klassenraums, ausstellungsraum, umkleide etc.
die klassen wurden als räume geplant, die auf allen vier seiten geöffnet sind, um so die unterschiedlichsten bezüge mit der umgebung zu schaffen: die südsonne und der blick auf das begrünte dach, die sicht auf den hügel im norden, der ausblick entlang des tals und eine visuelle beziehung zum mehrzweckraum.

konstruktion
das material lehnt sich an das der bestehenden schule an. bestehend aus einem sockel aus sichtbeton und einem mit schiefer verkleideten aufbau, so wie die dächer der mittleren gebäude.
die beiden geschosse mit klassenräumen werden in holzrippenkonstruktion gebaut, um sie erdebensicher auf den zivilschutzraum bauen zu können, ohne dessen tragwerk zu verändern. diese bauweise bietet den vorteil der vorfabrikation und eine schnelle montage, was lärmbeeinträchtigungen während des schulbetriebs reduziert.
die innenwände der klassenräume sind mit holz verkleidet und werden zwischen einem mineralischen boden und einer mineralischen decke aufgespannt. den boden wird aus zementestrich (schallisolierung und thermische masse) gebildet; die decke besteht aus gelochten zementplatten, die die schallisolierung gewährleisten.

l’extension du centre scolaire est proposé à l’ouest du site, en continuité de l’école existante s’étendant le long de la rue de la treille. elle se rattache aux bâtiments existants pour former avec eux une unité fonctionnelle.
cette extension permet d’améliorer le rapport entre le complexe scolaire et l’espace public de la rue (actuellement une face borgne de l’abri).

typologie
la nouvelle école est organisée en deux unités spatiales et pédagogiques, un espace familier, entre l’échelle de la classe et celle de l’école.
ces unités comprennent deux salles de classe et un espace de polyvalent qui sert de pivot à chaque unité.
les classes sont imaginées comme des espaces ouverts sur les quatre côtés, offrant de multiples relation avec l’environnement : l’ensoleillement du sud et la vue sur la toiture végétalisée, la vison sur la colline au nord, des visions au loin dans le sens de la vallée et un rapport avec l’espace polyvalent.

construction
la matérialité du projet est inspirée du centre scolaire actuel. un socle en béton apparent et une superstructure doublée en ardoises, à l’image des toitures du centre.
les deux niveaux de classes sont construit en ossature bois pour permettre une construction parasismique sur l’abri pc sans modification structurel de celui-ci. ce type de construction permet une préfabrication en éléments et un montage très rapide diminuant les nuisances pour le centre scolaire en activité.
les faces intérieures des classes en bois sont comprises entre le sol et le plafond d’aspect minéral. le sol est constitué d’une chape ciment (isolation phonique et masse thermique). le plafond en panneaux perforés à base de ciment assure l’absorption acoustique.
