Teahupoo is a mythical wave located on the island of Tahiti, in the French Polynesia. It is known as one of the heaviest and most dangerous wave in the world. This wave can reach almost 15 meters. Its power and the shallow reef are unique and terrifying.

We have designed this sculpture, inspired by Teahupoo’s barrels, for the birth of a 51 cm and 2.7 kg baby girl. Her parents were afraid that the high ceiling bedroom including a heavy iron structure would be to vast and perturbing for a new born. We proposed them this cosy and reassuring domestic sculpture.
