Savyon House | Dubi Witt

At Savyon on a plot of 1350 sqm wanted a couple with two children to build their home.

An essential part of the program was a request made to create an "outdoor living space".

The couple returned from a holiday in Italy and brought a picture of a vaulted outdoor

Pergola and thought to incorporate something like that in their new Home.

Maintaining an outdoor living space with a direct connections to the living spaces inside

allows diverse residential experience. The direct contact between the inside and outside is a

major issue which concerns "Witt architect" office. It allows the occupants to be part of the

weather changes and the connection to nature. The direct contact between the various

parts of the House to the garden and swimming pool gives a feeling of confidence and

communication with the goings-on around the House and yard.

A vaulted Pergola, chosen by the customers, has the dimension of the width of the plot.

The dining room was inserted into a closed part of the vaulted Pergola and by so tightened

the relationship between the interior space and the exterior space.

The House (two floors and a basement) 410 square meters size, was built in a Tuscan and

Italian style designed by interior designer Michal Shamrich. Much of the finishing materials

where imported from Europe giving the place a authentic look

The garden was designed by Rotem Company. The swimming pool was built across the two

domes of the dining area, allowing a closer look to the water while eating. The four outer

domes atand by an intimate enclosed garden with fruit trees.

"Witt architect" Office is situated and works in New Tzedek Tel aviv since 1991. Issues such

as privacy in a dense area, the quality of space and the important role of the court are major

factors taken into consideration while planning houses. The relationship between the inner

space and the outer space, giving a wider experience of space, especially in thr Israely

climet. An experience that brings us the air, light and nature making it an integral part of

our living space.
