Situated at number 14 via Varese, right opposite the aMDL office, Exits is a showroom designed to exhibit products by Produzione Privata and BassamFellows.

In this space, which previously housed a smithy, all the original surfaces were brought back into view, cleaned and consolidated by exhaustive restoration. The wooden beams were sandblasted, the terracotta tiles brushed, the walls stripped of their facings and their old plasterings enhanced. The floors were retained and polished and their gaps repaired with crude cement, so as to make the integrations instantly readable. The lamps and objects displayed are not hung directly from the walls, but from plasterboard panels which like blank pages can be moved as required.

Since 2014, the space traditionally used for one-off design exhibitions and pop-up events with a cerebral bent, has been dusted up and transformed into a full-time lifestyle gallery.

Connecticut-based furniture designers Craig Bassam and Scott Fellows opened a lifestyle concept store within architect Michele de Lucchi's exhibition space.
